Thoon's April 17th Event -or- SUNDAY! SUNDAY! SUNDAY!

It was insane.

After we leveled our Monk and Sorceress to 20, my Lady and I joined a Raid that included some very nice folks from Militia, and a gentleman known as SonofHeals/Sonofmonks(SonofFists?). Once the Raid was formed, with some changeable folks, we went into Subterranea...where we fought Epic Level Devils; Epic Belkor, Elite Suulomades, and not just one of each. I'm forgetting the names...someone help; Turgoth? Oh and Living Spells to boot! I think there were two Suulo's? Or two Belkors? It was utter madness.

I got knocked out of my Garments of Equilibrium, often! Lotsa repairs, but we finally pulled it together -- until Suulo got stuck in a wall.

Thanks to everyone that was a part of our Raid, and to The Militia for lettings us see the high end Guild Ship and Buffs!

Hey I was in that group on Wyrewrought! That was my first time raid healing. Especially hectic around corners as we pull pairs of CR40 mobs with some living spells in tow. some tomes followed after we had suulo stuck in a wall.

Yea was a blast. Much more challenging with just 12 vs multiple epic bosses, vs 60 vs.

hehe. We had a prety solid group and thoon gave us a serious challenge. Junts put together a good team, with me, him, teth and some other forum veterans. (tho he used a differnet word then veterans lol) Think mosts of us were multi-TRs geared to the hilt.

First wave set up all 2 epic DA boses: Turigulon + annoying teleported balkar. As well as elite suulomades.

So I think teth kited balkar, our wizard tanked turigulon, and i had sullo cursing me.. Then when suulo was going down and im all chained to the ground.. Behind us pops a good 20+ elite meteor swarms.

hahaha. I was like oh **** whats tha- --- oh im dead.
Guess thoon really wanted to get me back for the other day haah. He put up a globlal annoncement annocing my demise.

Shortly after.. our whole group went down, even Teth couldnt survive the insane meteor swarm onsluaght lol.

Well we reset the instance, got more ship buffs, devised better tactics and demanded a rematch the same scenarios. This run was much smoother and we kicked ass. Was no further party whipes from then on, tho there was much more death to follow..

Later bosses included:
Epic Arreatrikos (much harder in a proper raidgroup that it was the other day, by that time I was all outa rages and needed a shrine.. Thoon helped us out with a dozen or so)
Malicia + her pet epic tor dragons
Then something new:
Epic shroud luitenants:
Nimrissir the ruthless- uber tip cat.
Tho daugh nuke the heartless - evil gnoll, not too tough tho
Damaze the windago - haha 70+ AC on him too, along with stone skin provided to:
about a dozem Epic Brimkites (also never seen before iirc)

Then finally 2 epic Velahs for us to play with.. 1 of which liked to fly.. Sorry no good SS of them together, too busy having fun.

After slaying velah. We were rewarded with a ton of +4 tomes.. much more then the other day.

Unfortunately I was having ridiculous fps issues so I died a few times from not being able to do stuff in time. Once Thoon spawned everything my pc kind of froze up for a couple seconds lol. It was still good fun though. First time I forgot to load Ooze Puppet, retry I came back prepared. That colonel though was a huge pain. Constant teleporting like every half second and he really liked me for some reason.

Kinda wish I had brought my sorc though to test out Savant dps, but also wish I had just gone Paladin instead. It's pretty hard for me to die on my Paladin unless I'm just doing a ton of ******** stuff.

I gotta admit though. The beholder army was kinda fun. Also failing Sunburst save against Harry while in undead form was not. It hit me for over 600 damage lol. If I had remembered to pop my yugo hp pot I would've survived it :/ Good times.

Thoon definitely throws awesome events.

Everyone had a laugh when the world broadcast of "Did we kill Greatxer?" popped up.

On the second attempt at it (first one was just at the top flailing horribly), Baktor was just teleporting in place every half second on the ledge just past the top.

I was just waiting for another group of beholders after all those buff suites I gave you guys. It was a great time, especially, of course, the dragons. The black dragon and earth ellies, all with stoneskin, was a fun pairing. The best spawn, though, had to be the 30+ kobolds. Anyone get a screenshot of that one? They weren't around long - I wasn't sure if they were epic or not, and I hit them with a cone of cold, wiping out most of them. Turned out they weren't.

BAH! I only got to participate in maybe hte first 20 minute to half hour of the raid when my internet provider decided to do a sunday afternoon maintenance for the next 6 friggin hours. Sorry to the group that had to carry on without me- Just got on now.

They came up when we were dealing with Bazdor after Turigulon and Suulo had died and we had that lul in the hecticness.

They came out right into one of Teth's BBs and only 2 of them didn't die instantly.

Didn't get a screenshot of the kobolds. Had a couple on me and I kinda laughed. Hit wail and they fell down though :/
