    Default Ticket System/GM complaint

Hello, let me start by saying that I hail from the Cannith Server and that me and my buddy run a very close-knit guild there and I have been a paying VIP member for some time. Saturday night @ about 12:30am eastern time one of my members complained about an incident with a GM and the ticketing system, so here I appear before you.

Someone messaged her as she had a LFM up in the group section, but it had just filled. As an act of courtesy, she told them sorry and that the group was full rather than simply blowing them off. The individual replied with several snotty and aggressive messages prompting a response of "aren't you a cocky f*cker?" with the star included even, from my guild member. The individual that not only initiated the conversation, but turned it nasty then proceeded to send in a ticket concerning the comment, which sparked a warning and a threat of a week-long ban from this "GM" ... Bear in mind that this is a very new person to the game and the way this all went down really bothered them, and it downright INFURIATED me as well, as she was leaning toward going VIP and sticking with DDO for a while.

I mean, seriously.. do you people even investigate these claims before you act upon them like that? Or just buy into whatever the ticket says, regardless of the situation? All you are doing is giving these ticket-happy idiots free reign to go out of control when you give them power like that, and penalizing normal players from not being oversensitive NARCs by punishing them for not being the first to bother your GMs by sending pointless tickets.

If it had been me that was accosted by a GM like that in the same situation i'd have flown off the handle, and if a ban followed like the GM threatened, so would the termination of my VIP account and future business with this company. This is why I would really like to hear this was some sort of bizarre mistake, because if this is how you choose to conduct yourselves, i no longer want any part of being a paying customer of yours in any facet.

A prompt response would be greatly appreciated, either on this thread, gawynab@gmail.com or ingame @ Tzeryn on the Cannith Server.

    First!

    IBTL!

    Lets go through this one...

The individual replied with several snotty and aggressive messages prompting a response of "aren't you a cocky f*cker?"
The person go baited, and fell right into it. That's funny. Then the other party filed a complaint based on the language used. Yup, that's how it works and completely valid.

The individual that not only initiated the conversation
Who cares who started it, this isn't grade school.

I mean, seriously.. do you people even investigate these claims
Of course they do, when you report someone the text on the line that you reported is sent to the GM. Nothing else matters, not the context, not the intent, just the content.

penalizing normal players from not being oversensitive NARCs by punishing them for not being the first to bother your GMs by sending pointless tickets.
Penalizing players for breaking the terms of service by swearing? Yes that's a GM's job.

If it had been me that was accosted by a GM like that in the same situation i'd have flown off the handle
And you would have been banned, and rightly so.

and if a ban followed like the GM threatened, so would the termination of my VIP account and future business with this company.
Buh bye. Breaking the TOS, being banned for it and then closing your account sounds like nerd quit rage.

This is why I would really like to hear this was some sort of bizarre mistake, because if this is how you choose to conduct yourselves, i no longer want any part of being a paying customer of yours in any facet.
No mistake, your friend broke the TOS, got reported and threatened/banned. Next time don't break the rules.

A prompt response would be greatly appreciated, either on this thread, {REMOVED} or ingame @ Tzeryn on the Cannith Server.
No one is going to reply to you if your friend was banned/warned. It has nothing to do with you, stop trying to be self inportant.

A few items to close. First you should remove your email address, just to prevent unwanted emails. Secondly you need to remove the GM's name, it's an offense to call out GM's on the forums. And lastly, it is an offense to discuss GM actions/bans on the forums. This thread will probably be deleted or locked.

Please don't feed the trolls. Putting your email on here is ill advised, as well as saying anything against the GM's decisions or actions will get you an infraction point at the least and possibly get you banned from the forums.
