    Default people cant hear me talk with my headphones

    please help :-0

    i have vista, generic plantronics headphones just not sure where in control pannel to increase how people can hear me (is it called input??)

    go to options --> audio. At the bottom of this option screen you will find an item called "voice capture device". Set it to your headset's microphone and everything should work.

    Edit: At least this is how it works for me. I use a usb headset, which uses different drivers than my audio card.

    Maybe this is your issue:

    There is a feature called "push to talk", and by default it's mapped to the F key. Press it when you talk.

    Took me a while to realise this feature.

    Make sure you have Voice Chat enabled.
    Make sure your mic is recognized and enabled, as Gizeh described.
    Make sure you're using Push to Talk as learst described.
    Make sure you turn your Gain up, as it's basically the volume control for outgoing voice.

    If none of those work, there is a different problem, probably on your end. Possibly something like your mic not being enabled through Windows, or something similar.

    also the headphones should be plugged in BEFORE you start the program or the audio options will not recognize them as a choice..
