Crafting BtA/BtC and ML?

When you toss an unbound item into the Stone of Change, it becomes Bound to Character.

When you toss a BtA item into the Stone of Change, it stays BtA.

With the Llamannia crafting currently available, all the essences and the weapons and items that you can create appear to be BtC.

Has anyone yet checked to see what happens if you make a crafting blank out of a BtA weapon or item and then craft onto that weapon or item? Does the resulting crafted weapon or item remain BtA? Or does it switch to BtC?

Also, BtA items tend to have a lower ML than unbound lootgen items. Does crafting with a BtA item that has a lower ML than normal result in a crafted item with a lower than normal ML?

The store trinket is BTA - when you crafted it before the shards became btc it stayed BTA but I don't know now with the change of shards.
