Hello,
I have a 16 virtuoso bard who is great to play, but it has always bothered me that Suggestion doesn't work with Enthrallment. Or at least, any time Ive tried it it hasn't.
I don't understand this. The effect is essentially the same (enthrallment and fascinate) on the monsters, except that enthrallment debuffs. To me this seems like the bonus I get for spending the points on an enhancement line (virtuoso, the singing-is-my-strength prestige if the name suggests anything), an upgraded version of fascinate.
But its not, because you can't use suggestion on enthralled creatures. So in my mind it looks like this: You can choose to use your upgraded version of fascinate and debuff, or you can use your regular version and charm, but not use your prestige ability AND your basic bard ability.
Can anyone explain the logic behind this to me? Enthralled creatures look pretty fascinated to me... Would this overpower virtuoso's?
You can't even use enthrall and then fascinate and suggestion, it doesnt work/apply after enthrall is on.
Edit: Been reading some threads about bard build etc and everyone seems to think enthrall is great, and suggestion is too, but no one seems to mention this... am I missing some obvious reasoning? Does it work but for some reason not any time that Ive tried?!?
