    Default Can some one confirm

    That the enlightened vestments add the banishing additional damage to unarmed attacks like the handwraps are supossed to? Is there finally a reason to wear them now?
    Veriden, Orien server: Lost count of lives. 3 of all base classes, 3 halfling, 2 gnome...working on trying to make the game work again. May or may not return.

    From the Release Notes

    • Melee death effects on items (and the rogue assassin enhancement) have been redesigned.
      • For targets with more than 1,000 hit points, vorpal no longer kills and instead hits the target for 100 points of bane damage. If a creature has less than 1,000 hit points, the vorpal effect is applied on a confirmed natural 20 as before.
      • Disruption, Banishing, and Smiting weapons have had their hit die caps and saving throws removed. These weapons now do 4d6 damage on a hit, and kill an eligible target on a confirmed vorpal hit (natural 20) if the target is below 1,000 hit points. If the target has more than 1,000 hit points, they will take 100 damage.
      • Weapons with the Greater Disruption effect deal 6d6 additional damage on any hit instead.
      • Greater Disruption Guard will apply its death effect with no saving throw at its previous percentage chance, but will not deal additional damage.
        • Banishing Fists will grant the vorpal banishing effect to unarmed attacks, but will not do an additional 4d6 damage.


    So the answer is no, they won't do the damage. But they will still banish on a 20, and/or do an additional 100 on the mob if it has over 1k hp. So it's adding approximately 5 damage per strike against those.

    I can also confirm that they don't do damage on normal hits BUT they do, do 100 damage on vorpal hits, wether or not it stacks with banishing handwraps I don't know, I'd need banishing handwraps to test that :P.

    A man is entitled to his dreams in life no more, no less right? :P I generally wear them b/c they're fairly decent cosmetically so.

    They did get proxy buffed...

    First, I imagine more monsters previously immune to Banishment (outside of Amrath) will be subject to the effect now, and...

    All other Banishing effects are becoming vorpal-only, which means that that effect, at least, will be equal to the way the effect will now work for everyone else.

    Of course, the one reason Ninja Spies had to use shortswords is gone now.
