I am making a build (again), this one being an FvS with a monk splash. The goal is to get an evoker build, and some defenses would be nice. The issue is whether or not I should go 18/2 or 19/1.
19fvs/1monk - Gets +2 wisdom (and therefore +1 to dcs) through stances, toughness feat, and wisdom to ac should I decide to grind out the gear. This can be played without the AC aspect, but getting +16 to AC from my casting stat could be worth using.
18fvs/2monk - Gets +22 extra health through 2nd toughness and +2 to all resistances through animal path. Also gets evasion, which would be the main reason for splashing in this deep. LOSES access to a level 9 and level 8 spell, meaning I would lose mass heal and either deathward, mass or firestorm (definitely taking mass cure critical, death pact, and implosion.)
What I need now is an opinion from the eyes of someone playing this character, not someone running with it. I know party members would prefer more to have mass heal available than to have a more survivable healer, but I can't decide what would be more fun for me to play. I personnaly love evasion, but mass heal is a hefty price to pay.
This build would be a helf with paladin dilettante, so there is no issue with my reflex being to low.
Anyway, all comments and opinions would be appreciated.
