Critical Hit resisted on a 20- is this a bug?

Not sure if this needs to be submitted:

(Combat): You roll to Confirm a critical on Ancient Element of Earth. You roll a 20 (+32): Critical Hit resisted!

I saw this every time I rolled to confirm a crit on the stone ele's in Devils, but it was on lower number rolls. I figured it must require a high roll for these monsters for some reason. then i rolled a 20 and thought ***? can't crit on a 20? Is that because it's an elemental? I thought you could crit elementals, just not SA them or vorpal them. Am I having a complete brainfart?

Not a bug - elementals are immune to critical hits.

That's the message displayed when the mob has fortification.

When you fail to confirm, you get 'confirmation failed!'

Critical hit resisted means fortification has negated your critical hit.

Yeah- I'm testing him between live and Lam, starting with vale slayers and quests. Trying to find people to do high level stuff with still.

I do notice differences that don't really impeded me as a level 20, but I can see how the changes will make this more difficult at level. As to how difficult, I won't be able to tell until I TR my main and go out there. So far the added dice help, but I think they went to far with the nerf. It's now imbalanced the other way.

I am having a slow go of it trying to decipher what is going on in my combat log. I never really paid much attention to it because it scrolls by so fast. I usually only monitor it if I was doing something new or having problems with a fight.
