Please Remove "Echoes of Power"

Any ability the requires you to adjust an entire PRE and part of another one should just be removed. There were no great cheers from the addition of this ability but there has been a massive outcry to the changes attributed to it. Please just remove it and put the related changes back as they were.

Considering the number of 'nerf SP POTS' threads on the main board...we dont need another ability for people to whine about. Especially one that makes you 'readjust' things just to include it.

Yet another random new system added to the game that 'requires' the devs to monkey with everything else. The solution to every percieved issue is not a new system.

Here's the problem.

Echoes of Power as the 'reason' was a red herring. The truth is that Turbine has decided that any class/pre/spec that can benefit from reaction time in the pressing of buttons needs to have that ability toned down. Cooldowns have been lengthened on necro abilities. Nuking SLA's for wizards and sorc's alike have had their cooldowns lengthened. Monk ki generation has been reduced to levels where spamming ki strikes will no longer be an option.

I believe removing 'ability spam' is the real reason for the changes that have been made. Echoes of Power was just a convenient scapegoat.

Remove Echoes of Power, or limit it to level 5 and under.

Honestly just having eternal wands recharge over time solves most of the issues facing low level casters.

Echoes is one of the few things that makes playing a caster as a caster bearable to me now. Rather than being completely down and out when Ive exhausted my innate resources on a group I can keep chugging along albeit at a greatly reduced rate.

SP potions are a help but not supposed to be a crutch everything relies on. I should not have to drink potions or buy them from the store because the group is less equipped or hit a rough spot or be expected to on normal runs. I expect myself to be mostly efficient but able to handle snafus in the plan.

agreed. given a choice between nerfing *everything else* at level 5-20, or simply removing echoes of power from existence, i will *gladly* lose the gimpy SP regen that only even matters for the first couple of levels if you haven't learned how to conserve SP yet, and instead take back the abilities that used to be appealing.

mind you, without the elemental curse, savant will still suck, but at least it would suck a little bit less.

Echoes of power is NOT DnD, and just makes the game weaker and too much like other mmos.

It's also not good for business. People who might actually need/use this, and people who are otherwise likely to buy SP pots from the ddo store. With this in, they will buy less.

Just change it to "echoes of the ddo store" when you hit 0 SP, a pop up comes up reminding you can you fill your SP up via the ddo store. Players will love that.
