Good thing I didn't buy the ones already out. I want to save and get one of those ones.

oh no, i just spent forever getting blue dragon scale armor so it would be different looking from everyone else
:O
My heart skipped a beat when I saw the new armor mentioned in the news. This seriously just made my day.
And from the looks of things.... FURRY BARBARIAN ARMOR!!
I can already hear my ditzy, furry boots loving barbarian character screaming happily like some over-excited high-school girl.
You know that LoTRO dat file decompression util? The reason I suspect it works is because (based on statements about the utility) Turbine updates the game files by just putting the new stuff at the end - which causes bloat, and slowness.
It is much easier to remove a texture from the file and add the new one at the end with an updated index entry to the new area than it is to rearrange the *entire* file for a modified size.
There's a few older armor skins in those texture grabs, but certainly some of the others are brand new. And looking at them like that, they do look pretty cool.
I'm going to have to wait buying any new armor kits until I see what these look like.

Plains 2 armor:
I am no Photoshop expert but since I like to save screenies over stuff I am considering I happened to have these 2 in my SS folder. Someone more talented then I can go to Lam and get better pictures I hope! (I like the Plains set a little better)
Here is a thread with screenies:
