Upcoming Sorc Shroud Run

Many are asking about reserving spots. I'm mostly using this thread as a notice that it will be happening, and when the date for the update is set I will be using this thread to feel out times and eventually post the time and date. Also, ideas will probably flow through here as to how to make it better, peoples' responses will give me an idea of what to expect in terms of which PrE lines people will be taking, etc.

As of now, I'm not reserving spots as it is probably too early to do so and real life changes periodically. More to follow (hopefully soon).

Please feel free to add your 2cp about which PrE line you're leaning towards and if you have ideas on how to make the run more productive and fun. Thanks!

I'll just say that I'd be careful about posting things like '10 seconds for p5!!!!' .... That said, please PM me the ridiculously awesome p5 time even if you choose not to post it.

In terms of what Darkrok was looking at... is there a command such as "/timestamp" to get a time/date stamp from the server clock included on the screenshots?

EDIT: Bear in mind I'm not looking for a total quest completion time, just a way to time parts 4 and 5 and show those times with a pair of screenshots.

ship buff timers should work through 4 for timing.

I'll look you up once we have a firm date for U9 to drop. I don't want to begin switching around until I've read all that plays out on llama-land.

As it stands now, my WF Sorc is planning on going Air, unless other nerfs/adjustments/fixes come along to dissuade me.

On a side note, I led an all Sorc Shroud once before, when the cap was lvl 16. That was one of the single most entertaining runs I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of.

All seem to have their bennies. I've had the inherent Lightning bolt hit for 777 and the Acid Spray hit for 801.
And of course the heat death, while a ton of damage, would be useless in the Shroud.

Okay... the moment is here.

Yes, the awakening ability no longer stacks and I was P.O.d for about a week about it. I'm still stewing a bit, but I've finally progressed through my emotional stages and presently accepting the situation. That being said...

After carefully reading the spell changes, I've just decided to LR on the day of the update. There are so many spells and feats to swap that it just makes sense, economically speaking. I recommend doing the same, which will (hopefully) put all of those interested at 100% readiness.

I'm going to throw out a time and carefully watch this thread as much as work will allow... how's Wednesday around 8pm Eastern Time?

Looking forward to the feedback.

Just a heads up, based upon past history on Update/Mod drop days, I would consider rescheduling this for Friday or Saturday.

Any chance that something can go wrong will, then the servers drop with 5 minutes notice, thus ruining your entertainment.

I'm just looking out for your best interests here.

Why would I postpone a fun event strictly out fear that the servers MIGHT drop??? Worst case... they drop. And we reschedule for when they come back up.

If this was the elite all sorcerer shroud, no we didn't. I had sup glaciation VIII at the time from the 3 item set, and it was the best thing available then, so I went with cold. (It was also rather rare, with DT runes being what they were back then)
