Has someone figured out a way to hack the game?
This has happened twice now, 2 days in a row.
I bought a plain +5 Holy returning hammer from AH, got from mail and put in bank for another toon to collect; he got it, dragged it to a bar and clicked on it.
It appeared in his hand, he threw it and it vanished - didn't return to his hand, icon disappeared from bar and item no longer in his inventory!
I submitted an In-game ticket but the DM said it was not something he could fix and to submit a bug report, which I did.
So, today, the char that originally bought it see 2 more identical +5 Holy returning hammers in AH and buys one of them; he collects it from mail, opens inventory and clicks on it, it appears in his hand, he throws it and it, too, vanishes without a trace! ***!!!
There are currently 2 of these +5 Holy returning hammers on the AH, as well as 2 plain +5 Holy darts ( one of which I already had a bid on).
Based on my experience with the AH, it certainly seems very strange that several identical itmes should suddenly show up there at the same time and it's exactly this sudden appearance of multiple, identical items that lead me to consider the following possibility:
It almost seems like someone has found a way to create 'false' items and hack them into the game / into their character's inventory (possibly by inserting them into their local DDO data file), where they can then post them to the AH and collect the plat when they sell, but when the purchaser actually tries to use it, the item 'disappears' because it isn't a 'real' item.
That would explain the multiple identical items and their strange vanishing act.
Has anyone else experienced a problem with these items, or would sopmeone else be willing to buy one of them and test this out.
One time, yes, maybe a bug, but twice, 2 days in a row, as well as the multiple items ...?
