Default Need help to build a melee support

I love playing in the support role, buffing, healing and improving the party survivability. I already lvled a bard and a cleric, so I move to a melee build. I choose the exploiter build, but after lvled it to the cap I didnt like at end game content (the only thing I really loved was doing manyshots + imp pr shot when soloing ).

So I'll TR him. After several researching hours in the foruns I think the best support melee non-bard toon is a wis based light monk.

    stunning fist DC: 10 base +20 lvls + 10 wraps + 12 wis = 42 (Will be enough for epic after U9?)

    AC:
    10 Base
    9 dex
    12 wis
    5 prot
    5 monk
    4 shield
    8 bracer
    5 barkskin (ranger past life)
    4 insight (DT armor)
    1 alchemy
    1 haste
    2 ship

    66 self buffed

Sounds good enough to lvl up and farming boot ingredients at Amrath quests.

    HP:
    354 base
    20 minos
    30 false life
    10 draconian vit

    474 total

Could be 519 with a earth III GS item. In my opinion it is pretty solid for a non tank melee.

    UMD:
    11 ranks
    3 cha
    1 luck
    3 golden cartouche
    4 GH

    22 total

I would like to use UMD for heals, stoneskin, teleport, fire shield, ts, invisibility scrolls. Shield and resists energy wands too. So, even with a GS +6 cha skill item, my UMD is quite low. Any idea to improve it or should I remove UMD from this char?

Note: I only have enough ingredients to build one GS item (+45 hp or +6 char skill).

I wouldn't put any points into UMD. All those things you mentioned can be done through clicky items. The exception are Heal scrolls, which are overkill when you've got Healing Ki and 20 monk levels.

The best support a group or raid can have is a character that can DPS well.

Try Epic Devil Assault for all your boot material farming needs. Much better than Amrath as you get other good stuff (Shroud larges, epic dungeon tokens, and with luck red augments) as well - most runs, someone in the party gets a boot piece or two.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

Go with half elf instead & take cleric dilantette, you'll be able to use various cleric wands without building & equipping for UMD or having to make sure you have enough Ki (ditch the AP based abilities & take extra healing amp instead) & scrolls with some AP investment - Heal will have 95% success chance with all 3 tiers once you hit level 15, total 6 AP required. I'm levelling a half elf monk with cleric dilly at the moment and she's proving to be a very capable build with great capability for party support if necessary.
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.

    There is a teleport clicky?!

You are totally right about what support is. However, DDO has different ways to bring support to the table. You can buff all party DPS, as a bard or keep that the full DPS oriented half-orc barbarian alive as healer or CC to generate autocrits (or double damage in U9). I prefer this kind of play, more "indirectly DPS".

    I'm doing it!
My bard just grab a red augments of metallic edges last night!

You have a point here. I'll only miss the teleport and fire shield scrolls.

And the stunning fist DC, is it good or should i put more in wisdom and less in other Abilities?
