    Default Fix Hireling Distance

Turbine for the love of DDO please fix the distance that the hirelings follow their master !

Yes we can park them and create our own distance they will still heal us , so they don't get all up in the fight going on.

But come on already and fix this on the next update. I'm sure it's just a matter of changing ONE number in the code.

Thanks and look forward to this being fixed !

    Very much /signed.

This affects healers and casters more than the melee hierlings. I cannot think why Barage or Flower need to be in the thick of things to do their job.

agreed. there is nothing worse than when your hireling decides to stand right ontop of you while youre getting beat on by 4 orthons. then the hireling doesnt even heal you because it's too busy healing itself.

PPFFT, that's IF it can even pass its concentration check. No quicken? There's really nothing worse than watching a hireling /fail a mass heal on you over and over again... unless its the hireling failing a Resurrection over and over again and going from full health to zero with just a single mob on him!

6 months ago hirelings worked FINE !!!!

They didn't go healing everyone and everything in the party except their master.

They didn't go running off by themselves.

All they did was get too close during fights........

But NO , the update after the post in April, you changed them to start healing everyone and all pets.

Turbine couldn't even make one change to the follow distance, which is all that was needed.

U12 : Wow so now you go ahead and make them use more of their free will ?

    Harbinger of Madness
    ■ Missing ■ Hirelings are now more likely to enter the final courtyard of their own free will.

    ■ Arcane hirelings have learned that ranged spells serve them best when they stay out of melee range, and will no longer charge into close-quarters combat

So was it just arcane hirelings or all hirelings ?

So I ask again................ STOP making the hirelings use their free will..... as it seems you can't code free will properly.

Change them back to how they were in April before the first hireling patch was done.

Are you guys even listening to our voices? Or is it just a few ppl on the forums who's feedback you thrive off of?
