    Default twf paladin build for a friend

    A friend of mine has started a paladin, has only f2p, doesn't want to reroll even if he's lvl 2 and he'd like to be a twf (he took twf at 1st lvl).

    This is how I suggested he could go on with his build, he doesn't want to be a total gimp but mostly will play normal or hard quests with a guild of rl friends.

    Anything that should be absolutely changed? Thanks

    I assume he doesn't have much plat, right? So he can't buy +2 dex tome? I'd say put 1 point from lvl ups into dex and eat +1 dex tome (they are cheap on AH) That way he can take GTWF. Rest lvl ups should go into str. As for skills, don't take heal, it's useless. UMD, balance should be the focus.

    how about going 2hf so save a feat? and staying pure to get the most out of being a paladin, weapons of good at level 20? 14 starting str seems a little low...........
    also wont have to worry about tome for dex to get 2wf.

    Just asking, no expert on the topic.

    ok didnt get that bit about not wanting to reroll, but 1 level lost it really isnt much at all.

    Even if he rerolls, he still wants to play as a two weapon fighter, he finds it cooler.

    Btw, @enearth: the build already has GTWF, picked at lvl 12!

    so no chance of him using a 2handed weapon till he gets gtwf at level 12 right?

    But why he should? Since he isn't that of an expert I'd rather have him play S&B before he can go TWF full throttle.

    You used two level ups in dex. You can go one lvl up in dex + 1 dex tome = that way you will save 1 lvl up that can be put in str. Still better to reroll if he is 2lvl. That's like 30 min of playing tbh...

    Sure, but even if he rerolls (likely), he won't have plat or cash to buy a tome. That's pretty out of the question.

    paladin is one of the harder classes to build in terms of spreading build points around, 28 point build, then you want to go 2wf as well, so you dont just need points in str/con/charisma, you need to put at least 15 into dex then have enough points left spread around. and he will need a +2 dex tome to get 2wf or put a level up point into dex and a +1 tome or 2 level ups into dex and only 3 into str............

    If hes that dead set on being 2wf why not just go fighter or ranger? wont need to put build points into cha and can concentrate on str/con.

    i suggested 2hf till you get greater 2 weapon fighting because its more dps that way untill you get the feat to make 2wf worthwhile, enjoy sword and board, be less dps but of well, with the right gear, might get ac to a point where it might be worthwhile leveling up.


    Ask him to come on the forums and look up junts guide to paladins a lot of helpful info in there.

    I also want to roll up a 2wf human paladin, but i got the advantage of 32 point builds and +2 tomes.

    but the only way to build a good twf 28 point paladin is drow

    He doesn't have that as well ofc.

    What's the definition of "good" there? Good for his purposes is "will be able to play all the free quests at normal difficulty in a party of friends without horribly dying everytime."

    Is the character good enough for that?

    mebey try to up str a bit

    starting wis of 8 can be do able even with no twink it you will be able to cast all spells at some point
