    few notes with the build

    - this is my build as i am leveling it now. when i advance to higher levels i will be making 2 feat swaps.
    - 1 i will swap out skill focus umd -for stunning fist probably around level 14
    - 2 i will swap out power attack for improved precise shot - at level 20 (i don't like giving up power attack, but i think too hit will be an issue)

I'm not much of a forum poster, and despite having capped a toon with 12 levels of ranger i've got no feel for how ranged combat works at all yet, I've come here because i feel like this build could be solid and work out quite well but i'm sure there's room for improvement and i'm open to suggestions.

Lastly i'll work on notable gear and ac breakdowns later, i just haven't thought them through yet, i'm having fun leveling this atm instead.

I hope you realize you can't take IPS if you don't have PS at the fighter levels.
If you were to take PS at first fighter level. Swap PA for PBS you can still take IPS at second fighter level, losing nothing.

Good spotting! Thats something i clearly hadn't thought through, I'm not normally one for feat swaps, fortunately with the way this toon is playing it may get some loving and a quick TR the extra build points are going to come in really handy on this build, that 19dex for IPS really hurts.

have changed the feats around again,

i'll swap skill focus umd for point blank shot before my first fighter level
and i'll still swap power attack for stunning fist at 20 or when i find too hit becomes an issue with it enabled.

Mo recently did a lesser and went max CHA, max WIS pure light monk with a MIN II shuriken as his weapon of choice.

The reason for this change? He was running Shan-To-Kor one life and realized he forgot to craft a detect secret doors shard and had no shuriken! He then swore to never let that happen again.

Looks like you are on the right track. May want to check out Wax_on's "Monkcher" thread for further details, including some suggested equipment, etc. http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=351118 See the first build in that thread.

Thanks for the suggestions, this builds about a year old now though, i've got my own idea for how i'd like to gear him, having over 20 toons and not as much time as i used to makes gearing take a while these days.

    Equipment:
Head: Epic Helm of Mroranon (slotted w gfl)
    Gloves: Epic Ravensight
    Cloak: Wretched Twilight
    Boots: greensteel hp
    Trinket: Litany of the Dead
Bracers: Windhowler Bracers / Epic Jidz (swap between for melee or ranged)
Belt: Epic belt of the mroranon (slotted w: Blindness immunity)
    Necklace: Shintao Cord
    Goggles: Epic Raven's Sight
    Armour: Epic Frozen Tunic
Ring1: Epic Ring of the Stalker (featherfall, clear)
    Ring2: Kyosho's Ring (Holy Burst)
    Quiver: Alacrity upgraded.

    Weapons:

    Alchemical:
    Air/Air wraps
    Earth/water bow

    Named:
    Tharaak wraps
Sinew (bow that helped give me this build idea, not letting go of it, even if i don't use it)

    Epic:
    Thornlord - oneday
    shatterbow
    collapsable shortbow
    bow of the silver flame
    Wraps of Endless light

Oneday i'd like to upgrade to the claw gloves, and the gem of many facets, but for the time being i've got an elob tank, and a melee to gear up first,

    Slight update to build:

    - Precise shot is now auto granted at ranger level 4.
    - I've swapped the order in which feats are taken, for ease of leveling.
    - Investing my newly gained feat slot into Precision.

Still very tempted to swap the fighter levels for artificer levels, having full ranks in umd would provide a huge versatility boost. with no feat losses, but the loss of haste boost until it gets twisted in would be a noticeable drop in dps.

I think I prefer having Damage Boost I from Artificer to use for 10k stars and Versatility: Damage III or IV for Manyshot. Outcome is less DPS for Manyshot but more for 10k stars for possibly less damage overall but more persistent DPS. The +1 att/dam from Enchant Weapons might help to make up the difference.

Can you highlight the benefits of taking Druid compared to other splits?

    Is Beguile still worthwhile?

Sorry, I don't often check this thread for posts.

I still like beguile, I spend a lot of time soloing EE's, beguile + improved frost arrows really make life easy.

when comparing the final /2 splits none of
    2fvs
    2pally
    2fighter
    2druid
    2rogue

are really wrong options, all come down to preferred choice.

Default Rangemo LR - Equipment suggestions?

    Elf 12 Monk/6 Ranger/2 Druid:

Hi fTdOmen, I hit level 16 and was bored with my character so decided to LR into this build. I don't have any bows yet. Battlebox reward was a Celestia. Most of my gear is non-named. Do you have any recommendations on what to get first? I've seen Roadwatch and Bow of the Silver Flame. I may also be able to get the non-Epic poison quiver. Do you have any suggestions? Much appreciated,
    JB

The Bow of Silver Flame is a decent undead beater, but a PosIII is a better anti-undead weapon since you get blunt from imbue already. The Bow of Silver Flame can also be a pain to farm.

My personal favorite general-use heroic bow is a LitII. The Bow of Sinew from the Madness I (Harbringer) chain reward in the Harbor is also an excellent heroic bow, easy to acquire, and actually gets even better in epic.

If you have the parts, make a Epic Thornlord at 20.

Thanks, you've given me some good ideas. I may try and farm for the Sinew <-BTW how does this get better in epic?

Another question if you guys don't mind I just discovered my reincarnation did not take the alignment change (was supposed to change to LN) <--I remember researching the bows and deciding to drop LG. Sooo, now that I/Turbine have hosed that up I must take something other than Druid. Based on following the build very closely, does anything stick out as a great option?
