Help with splash decision

I have a drow twf dps pali and am trying to decide between going 18pal/2rog or 20pal. Basically the big things i would lose for going 18/2 are divine sac III and weapons of good, but i would gain evasion and i would go from a umd of about 19-20(not buffed or geared) to a 31ish(not buffed or geared) and i would gain the haste boost and a little backstab. So my question is, is it worth loosing D sacIII and weapons of good for the above mentioned stuff, and is a 31ish umd gonna help me at all? Also, does anyone no the umd difficulty of the greater heroism scroll?

GH scrolls are a 40 UMD. With that base UMD you will be good to go once you get the good items (Shroud CHA item and Titan's Seven Fingured Gloves).

Evasion is very good. The boost to DPS would be okay as well. However, missing out on the Weapons of Good makes it more necissary to craft 2x MinIIs or find some decent random generated DR breakers.

Honestly, both builds are viable and depend on your personal preference. One thing to consider is what level is this toon currently, and are you talking about a TR/LR here? Rogue at 1st level is always the way to go to maximize skill points.

on its first life. I also planned on using holy sword for a boss beater, idk, would the 20 pal with a base umd of 19-20 be able to do anything usefull with it? I dont know if i really wanna lose the dps, but i want the umd.

My Paladin is a Monk splash. He invested in UMD as much as possible. Let's see I have:
11 Base
8 Cha 26 (16 starting +2 Tome + 2 Enhancements + 6 item)
3 Cartouche
6 GS Cha Item

2 Head of Good Fortune

That gets me a 75% chance at Heal scrolls (I only fail on a 1-5).
And 95% chance for Raise Dead scrolls. I think 100% on Stoneskin (can't remember the UMD requirement on those).

Pretty good odds.

Of course a Rogue splash will get you 12 more to base = 60% more, which means you don't need to grind out a Cha boosting Greensteel

So, that's the numbers. Hope it helps you decide.

Mhm - you really don't need a rogue splash for functional umd. Granted, 100% heal is pretty hard to obtain, but if it falls to the paladin to be a reliable healer something's pretty wrong.
2 monk gets you two additional feats on a very feat starved class.
