My understanding of the upcoming change is that it will require a critical confirmation just like Vorpal does.

If you only hit on a 20, then rolling a 20 won't instantly confirm the "vorpal" style kill because you'll need the second To Hit roll to confirm. If you're already hitting on a 2+, then you won't have to worry so much about failed confirmations on your 20's.

The text already says "confirmed vorpal hit", so "the chance" is not related to the risk of failing confirmation.

There are several things in the game where it says "a chance to" when it functions 100% against vulnerable mobs.

More testing or a dev comment could clear this up easily.

FYI... disruption always worked in orchard - even elite - fact is I ran inferno in elite the other day and disrupted the **** out of the undead side so much the newbie wizard's head was spinning... I told him save your mana for the torches. But really an arcane nuker who knows those quests will kill a hundred fold what even five melee can.

Your job from now on is beat some portal.
