Tapestry repeats?

I have been farming the Orchard for tapestry shreds, and now have the 20 needed to turn in for a Minos Legens. If I turn in the quest and go back into the Orchard, will tapestry shreds continue to appear in the chests or do they only drop when the collection quest is active?

If anyone cares about the background, the Minos could still be useful to my current character but I already have a Heavy Fortification item (Relics of a Sovereign Past neck) and a Seeker+6 pirate hat, and the new bracers coming in U9 have the same HP boost as the Minos with other perks as well (e.g. Dodge, DR). I have four alts in the wings (levels 9-11) that would all gain more from a Minos, and while I will still want to bring my alts through for the S/R/E xp, and may well do at least one pass each at low level for the challenge, I would prefer to do most of the heavy lifting on my main to minimize the total time I spend farming on this (there being plenty of other things to farm). If the shreds will keep dropping then I will grab the Minos on my main for the HP boost and then work on farming up more, but if not then I will pass the shreds on until I have most of what I need for the alts.
