Does anyone know? Is it possible I am downloading the wrong version? I have a 64 bit system with 6.00 gb of RAM.

There is only a 32-bit version afaik. It runs fine on my Windows 7 64-bit installation.

DDO (and LOTRO) are 32bit but some updates were made to both so they can "address" (e.g. see and use) system memory available beyond the limitations in a 32bit operating system.

So if you're running it on 64bit Windows it is still a 32bit application just it is able to access some extra system memory

Also keep in mind that it is 32bit when installing because the default install will use "C:\Program Files (x86)\Turbine\DDO Unlimited" so do not try to change it to use "Program Files" instead on 64bit Windows since it needs to be running from the 32bit (the one with "x86") program files folder.

So to sum up its a 32bit application but is somewhat 64bit "aware" but only so far as being able to see/access available system memory.

I have Windows 7 64bit version with 4GB of ram.

When DDO runs for a while, DDO program itself will take up 2GB of ram and no more. 2GB size is from task manager.
This is also when DDO starts to pause frequently as I play, to load/swap file I presume.

Is there anyway to make DDO use more than 2GB memory on 64bit Windows 7?

2 GB is a lot of data.. you really want it to take more? 2GB is probably all it really needs.

Also, this isn't really on topic, reading the rest of this...
