Default Practical AC - need help

Getting viable AC seems to be impossible without a dedicated build and item farming effort.
Is there a source where the info on doing this is current? The last place I found was this one :

Is it possible to develop a standing, useful AC without seeking difficult-to-find items like the Chattering Ring, or attempting to make something like the Epic Siren's Set? Anybody has any builds or suggestions how to do something that's practical, for actual fighting, rather than tumbling with a buff that times out in seconds? What's the next step?

I have the Crystal Cove Epic gear, but nothing else at that level. That's the Swashbuckler Shield, Cav plate, Duelist Leathers, the Trinkets, and the bugged Ring. However the character with the best AC is my L20 28-point monk, which can only use the Ring. And that AC is 60-64, which isn't all that effective for level appropriate content.
    Gear:
    +7AC Armored bracers
+5 Natural AC hat (Crystal Cove item)
    +5 Protection Cloak -deflection bonus
Garments of Equilibrium (with Alchemical Ritual) +1 "Dodge"
    Nimble Trinket (+1 Dodge)
+6 Dex item, +6 Wis item
    Shield clickies(+4 temp AC)
got a Chaosgarde in the bank, because the Armored bracers are better.

    Feats:
    Dodge( Dark path prereq)
    Combat Expertise

    Enhancements:
Greater Wind Stance ( +4 Dex)
    +3 Monk Wis
    +2 Dex Tome read

It really depends on where you want the AC to be practical.

EPIC? Takes a bunch of grind.

Elite Raid Bosses, think close to EPIC

High level quest on Normal, what you have is a good start for that level of play.

Practical AC is whenever your AC is sufficient to make a meaningful reduction in the incoming rate of damage to your play style or group. Being able to reduce that rate by 20% can be very useful in many situations, and allow a cleric or healer to easily stay ahead of the healing curve. Striving for that elusive only on 20's setting is often a fool's errand since many times that also gives up too much offense. You need to look at the NET damage flow to assess if AC is practical. Define your play level goals and then you can better define what you need to achieve those goals.
