    Default Earth Grab and U9

Is earth grab guard on a shroud item still a good idea with the U9 changes to auto crits? Or would something like lighting strike be better?

I apologize if this is in the wrong forum but it seemed like this was the best place for it since it's for a future update. Thanks for the help.

As I have both items, but sadly my LitII is a cloak, I plan on keeping the earth grab. It doesn't have auto-bursting now, but it is still extra damage, works in epics, and procs more often than LitII... but I must admit I miss using my LitII and if decon of GS is ever introduced I would make my cloak goggles so that I could swap them out just for giggles. Also keep in mind that triple earth is only 2 lg scales vs the 5 for LitII.

    Hope that helps some.

Wait, so LitII doesn't stack (or have seperate procs) with a weapon and a non-weapon? I'm just looking for the best guard to put on my GS cloak.

It should remain a good TR weapon, but I would expect it not to be a good epic weapon anymore.

Because of the +4 to save? Doh!

I guess I will start saving my LDS for LitII Goggles myself

One is based in hitting things, the other is based on getting hit... so yes they can both go off at the same time, I have actually seen it too.

Will say the repeater was proccing a bit in von 1 during the very little time I was able to grab to solo-test that. Seemed less, but it was already a fairly rare enough occurance that I can't really give a definitive percentile of just how less often just based on that sample.
