    Since last patch, after accepting the EULA I get the following error message;

    What is this that keeps me from logging into the game? At this point I have stopped my subscription.
    Thank you in advance for any ideas.

    System specs might be helpful.

    I remember reading someone having a problem after the patch, and they went into their Turbine folder to find that some of the folders in there had turned into hidden folders. This gave a similar error message, since DDO suddenly couldn't see and access those folders. The person then changed the folders so that they were no longer hidden.

    Patches often create new "instances" of the program, rendering your old firewall exceptions obsolete and can get the firewall to block the new "instance" of the program. You could delete the old exceptions, and then create new exceptions for the DDO applications.

    Check the KB article about this error here and let us know if the error persists after following those steps.

    "Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1" & "Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 "Hotfix" (KB####)"
    are both listed and I still get the same message.

    Try uninstalling both and then reinstalling them using the links in the KB. Uninstall both, reinstall 1.1, and then reinstall the hotfix.
