Default DDO overwrites my display color calibration without giving me a choice.

Okay, I admit, my monitor is less than perfect. It did not come out of the factory with perfect color calibration.
However, that's not to say it is defective.
I'm sure that most monitors that people have, have less than perfect color calibration.

My monitor specifically (macbook pro, laptop display) , has a predominantly bluish cast. I use the color calibration utility in windows, to tone down the blue a tad, so that everything does not appear so harsh. Things look great.

Now the problem is that every time I start DDO, it wipes the calibration. And not just for DDO rendering. It changes the windows settings. I realize that you developers want to maintain a good visual quality standard, and I guess this behaviour would take care of funky color settings. But honestly, I really believe that my color calibration looks much better than the default funkiness, otherwise I wouldn't have spent time to do it. Because my monitor, like most, are not perfect.

So, how do I disable this somewhat silly setting that makes DDO override the operating system level color calibration?

I don't know if this makes any difference, but I play DDO in windowed mode, because alt tabbing out of full screen in any game, to check something, is a giant pain. Windowed ftw! But having everything else change to a harsh color just because I start DDO is rather annoying.

There isn't a setting in the DDO graphics or advanced graphics settings to make DDO use your desktop settings? I had thought there was. If not, it might be a good feature to request that they include in DDO.

You might want to go into your computer's graphics control panel. My nVidia drivers let me adjust my desktop color settings, and then it has an option to let me force those color settings on all of my computer's applications.
