Sorc / Bard multi

OK before we begin let me point out that this is a flavor build for a guildie who plays like once per week at the most.
the toon he has is a 3 bard / 2 sorc....but we r trying to get him veteran status to rebuild it at 4th lvl, he DOES NOT want to start at 1st again. may have to get him 32 point build also. OK all that being said i would like to help him with a better idea on a build for this character. possibly a spellsinger 2 / sorcerer 6 or warchanter 1 /sorcerer 14.

with the new PrEs coming for sorc it might be possible to still do decent damage and give some bard buffs at the same time.
any constructive thoughts would be welcome

War chanter 8 / savant 12 is probably the best for what you are looking for with the bard buffing songs and taking savant II gives you a few options for some direct damage spells. SP won't be great but at least you can squeeze out a caster level 16 on the savant for some elemental spells, use the SLA's, and get a reasonable IC buff. You can add some fascinates too.

The feat cost will suck blowing weapon focus and power attack on the pre for mostly casting.

Or your friend can look at other choices that are not so off the wall.
