This is probably it. It keeps repeating itself, and i think that causes the hang.

:edit: i believe it isn't a hardware related issue. DDO has been working right up ever since f2p launched up till this point, being the time when the minor updates were released last month.

I think i may need to uninstall the whole **** thing and re-install, as i'm suspecting its a corruption somewhere in the folder.

Double-click the "Dungeons and Dragons Online" folder

Within there locate and rename the "userpreferences.ini" file (eg. olduserpreferences.ini)

Relaunch the game, log in, and pause at the "server select" list
Before logging in click the first button in the row in the upper right-corner (the one with the single down-arrow on it)
Choose Options from the menu

At this point if prompted to enable DirectX 10 or 11 graphics choose "No".

I have done this, as all it ever does it resets your GFX settings to default, and to have a choice between DX9 or 10/11.

Still hangs on character log in.
