it would be fair...or is the intent to force all people into just a few guilds if they want cool stuff?

/signed It would save a lot of time waiting at quests for everyone to get ship buffs, and it wouldn't punish those that got ship buffs then had to wait 10 mins on a slowpoke to get to shroud lol.

That sounds more than fair. It really sucked when you'd spend 1500 plat and 3 mins getting all those vender buffs only to immediately run into a beholder in a quest or get dispelled/disjunctioned. If they paused I could actually go and grab the nice House J divine buffs more often.

Pausing them isn't an easy button at all. Its a time saver button. Right now nothing prevents people from getting the buffs at the last second and entering a quest with 29/59 mins left on the buffs. I don't see how entering a quest with 30/60 mins left on the buffs makes it an easy button compared to what you can do now. It just saves time for groups forming up and running quests. You can now buff and wait at the quest till party fills.
