    Default Ah new way to do more DPS with a party then ever before?

    I dont have a sorc so could somebody confirm that this works as in description?

    Awaken Elemental Weakness: Electricity
    • Usage: Active
    • Requires All of: Air Savant II
    • Available to Sorcerer class level 12
    • You are able to curse an enemy, increasing electrical damage they take by 15%. This effect stacks with itself up to five times. (Cost: 5 sp, 20 sec cooldown, 30 sec duration - refreshing a stack restarts its duration)
    Does really anybody who hits the mob do extra elemental Damage?

    Also does it stack with the Monk enhancement:

    Static Charge:
    • You strike your opponent and curse them to feel the fury of the sky. For the next 30 seconds, any electrical attack targeting your opponents deals 10% more damage.
    So lets assume you have a full group of mixed classes... either arcane caster specialized or at least able to do electricity damage and melees who all have ligthing II weapons and are trimmed to attack as fast as possible (TWF, Haste, Fighter/rogue Haste boost, Ranger, Arcobat...) as well as a monk with high air stance. That and high crit weapons like rapiers or kopesh would make shocking burst effect hit very often. This should be amplified by the sorc mark and monk ability and do at least double damage (again i cant test it myself).

    You could add something like a shocking blow item for every melee to add more damage too.

    Of course one could exchange ligthing with any other element but it just seems to be the most suitable (lighting II weapons).

    Anybody have an idea if this would work?

    Yep, you can get 3000 point Lightning Strikes now (against very specific enemies, namely a Flesh to Stoned Drowned).
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

    lets say against a pit fiend? Should be easy to keep marks up... could we be able to take down Harry faster then ever now, if the whole group has the right equipment?

    I'm excited when this hits live

    Think against him lit strikes should, if he has 5 curses from air savant, hit for 1050 (600*1.75).

    You'd need multiple elec savants (practically speaking); the timing on the curses is such that one person keeping 5 going is very, very difficult.
    Ghallanda - now with fewer alts and more ghostbane

    No it isn't. While kiting a room full of devils, yes, but not on a single stationary target.

    The curse has a 20sec cooldown and 30sec duration. That is a practical window of 9seconds to refresh the curse. Simply hit Z with the big bad boss targeted and keep an eye on the curse, and simply refresh when the cooldown is up.

    At this point in the game, who cares about killing old Harry faster or even Sulu in VoD faster?

    We should focus on ToD - Normal is mostly cake now, but hard and elite are not that regular, and have more incentive than Elite shroud I think (even if it is a small step in loot %). The end fight in ToD is 100x more interesting than the Shroud end fight either way.

    So, Sorcs will have pretty **** nice DPS on bosses once the curses are stacked. Single target DoT and ice storm/acid rain combo will beat melee DPS for sure.

    The real interesting point is how much damage will LitII's do in comparison with MinII's if benefiting from stacked lightning curses?

    On normal, litII>minII already (not counting glancing blows)
    On hard, litII<minII (but doubling the damage of just lightning strike will see litII>minII)
    On elite, litII<minII (but doubling shocking, shocking burst, shocking blast should see, more or less, litII=minII)

    No? This is more true for TWF style characters as THF want to enjoy their glancing blows. Really just need the paladins with silver augmented chimera's fangs.

    EDIT: My bad - got Electricity and Cold confused. /facepalm.

    Cold and acid resists are 30/40/60 (Harry, Sally) and 50/60/80 (Horoth).

    Just ignore this post.

    On Elite, the Fiends have 60 (Harry) to 80 (Horoth) Electric resistance. You won't be landing any meaningful shocking burst or blast damage through that.

    Plus there is a long ramp-up time for the curses. It takes 81 seconds to apply five of them with one savant or 41 seconds with two. In 81 seconds, Harry is dead on Normal in decent or even mediocre groups, and even elite Horoth is hurting pretty badly.

    Finally remember in the Horoth encounter, you'll be switching to Suulo at 75%.

    How much acid resistance do various devils have?

    I'd never heard that devil bosses had electricity resistance on harder difficulties, can anyone confirm this? I was always under the impression that devil's primary vulnerability was electricity but this is ruined quite a bit if they have resistances on elite.

    I suppose that I was talking in more general terms of the possibility of using litII's in raids. Even being able to swap to LitII's after some curses have landed would seem a decent strategy for some fights where if not wielding litII outright.

    I wonder how much health could be given back to the abishai devastator in the time that it is in blue form?

    The DDO wiki says:

    Horoth

    * CR 30/34/40 on Normal/Hard/Elite
    * Lawful Evil Devil (Lawful Evil Outsider)
    * HP - 200k/250k/350k on Normal/Hard/Elite (tested)
    * AC ??
    * Fortification 50% on all difficulties - same as all purple named pit fiends (tested)
    * DR 15/25/35 Silver+Good, on Normal/Hard/Elite
    * Immunity to curse, fire and poison
    * Resistance 30 to acid and cold on normal (scales with difficulty)
    * High SR, scales by difficulty
    * Intimidate DC: 56/61/66 on Normal/Hard/Elite, -4 size penalty
    o 60/65/70 required to hold his aggro all the time, for non-halflings

    Nothing about elec resistance. Wiki wrong? Or flase info from sirgog?

    Edit: Ah didnt see your Edit. Ignore my post too

    Can anyone confirm that the Sorc Awaken Weakness is a debuff and not a curse?

    If it's a normal curse affect, it will not work on Suulo, Harry, or Horoth as they are immune to curses.

    If it's a natural debuff, well then that could be a lot of fun!

    Either way it will open a few new interesting group technics. Have your party specialize in on element, call out one target and profit. Could help alot in epics... with the 50% dam increase from hold monster, a simple burst weapon could really do some serious damage.

    I hope it all will work on live like this. New tactics are always welcome.
