    I read this in another thread. Isn't possible for DEVs to work on something like this? I mean what about if i have for example two Polar Ray on my hot bars: one with all Metas on and another without them, so i do not need to activate/de-activate metas all the time? I think would be a nice UI improvement for casters in my humble opinion.

    Would be nice, or they could make all metas you have automatically affect any SLA you have

    I don't see why they can't just remove the activation timer for the metas or at least make the activation non-interruptible. There's no timer on deactivation. Is there something I'm missing with that? It would be a whole lot easier to do that than to make some spell-by-spell system and it would work just as well.

    This would already be a great improvement, I mean setting the activation times to 0. The spell-by-spell selection of metamagics would be even greater, but maybe there are some coding issues with that.

    Is there a chance that we will see any of these changes implemented anytime soon (U10/11?). Or has this been considered and the devs decided against it?

    A chance, yes. It is something we wanted to get in with the spell pass, but it didn't make the schedule. This is no guarantee you will see it any time soon, but there is a chance you will see it in the not so near future.

    Thanks for the response. Wasn't really expecting to get it answered with the many suggestions/bugs/discussion threads you guys have to read atm. And I'm of course glad you are trying to implement this.

    Or have them be a combination of keys.

    You have empower on the bar that is mapped to B. Maximized on V. Heighten on N. Hit those three keys as well as the spell at the same time.

    A little more complex with hitting those keys.

    I would rather be able to have slots to map my meta's but I want to also have various settings. Some of the spells I'd like to be able to have, for example, polar ray set with all metas and a non polar ray set without, but I'd like to also have some of those spells with heighten on but no other metas since some do have a reflex save that goes up with heighten but not wanting it max/empowred.

    Many keyboards wouldn't be able to properly process someone hitting all those keys at once.

    I like the idea of spell by spell selection of meta-magics. Say, an interface on the spell tab where metamagics would be selected by spell, which would always apply when the spell is cast. Then we can just fire and forget!

    I'm excited to hear this is indeed in the working already and was even planned for u9. Hopefully we'll see this live in u10 or u11.
