Why would you cast Break if you dont want to use a Wand to remove some lazy persons curse?
No one is claiming you cant fix someone elses curse due to guild pots being self only. we are saying we shouldnt HAVE to anymore.. Because guild pots works when Madstones.
Sure, if you are going for a speed run, Dont stop for the 3 seconds it takes to drink a pot. but 99% of the time, its best to just take care of your own curses.. Because you can...
The only problem with Break Enchantment is that it gets rid of any other CC/Clouds/DoT AoE's you're using at the same time. That's why I avoid using it in raid situations.
It does, however, get rid of multiple curses at once.
I’d rather remove lots of curses at once and let melees do their job.
It’s just a different methodology focused on speed, most PUGs
on Sarlona do the "remove-your-own-curse-or-die" method.
Both work, it’s just nice when people realize there
are alternative methods that have worked fine for years.
So last night in a pug shroud. Monk gets cursed in part two by the devil, hear him asking for a remove curse as he's madstoned. I look at him, guild level is in the 60's or 70's I believe, either way, it was way past 20. In voice chat I tell him something to the effect of "You know with that guild level, guild curse potions work while madstoned?" (This might sound slightly rude here, but I purposefully was polite when I said it). No response, he dies shorttly thereafter. I was not on a healer, nor did I care to remove his curse even though I could have. Part 5 prep working on the 4 bosses he dies again due to the same issue with the devil cursing him. Once the quest is over, I sent him a very polite tell explaining about the guild potion vendor and how he could use them, etc. No response, nada. Typical too, I might as well have been snarky as a player like that will never learn, as it's too much for them to be bothered to think outside of themself and be self suffiicient. So Ilindith?, the term to these players would be "Puis tu chies de l'or en barre?" or is that lost in translation?
It's certainly not the first time good advice goes unheeded, it's just tiring and why I rarely bother to waste my breath anymore when I see stupidity abound.

Hmm...this does seem like an improvement over my own curse removal method when I'm on my favored soul.
Melee: CURSED!!
Me: Do you have curse pots like we asked at the beginning?
Melee: HJEAL MEH I'm too awesome-sauce to carry pots
Me: Oh ok, no worries, give it a second and that curse will come right off.
--wait a few moments--
*Ding*
Me: See there, now the curse is all gone.
Basically that the person thinks their too good to get their own curses and is god's gift to the rest of us. Thought it fit, but that's why I say lost in translation. And no I don't speak French, but I take notes of certain phrases in diffierent languages that I tend to interact with and much like my stock of amusing pictures reference them as needed. Where I live there are quite a number of French Canadians and I have a few friends from Quebec. Spanish on the other hand, I am semi-conversant in, although I admit I understand it far better than I speak it.

They're not that great. All they do is keep Haste from working on you, so you don't really need them. And something else too, but I wasn't paying attention at that point because I was busy healing the par...hey, where did Horoth go and how did I get kicked out of the quest?
