55 AC, she can hardly hit that on Normal. (65 on Elite). Her HP are very low, but she's deadly in close combat unless you have the aforementioned AC.

Are these recent numbers, or do they date back a while? Only reason I ask is that I took Fradul in on Normal with a 56 AC, and she hit him 13 times out of 27. Unfortunately, that was all my combat log would hold, so I couldn't get more data.

If she wasn't just getting a bunch of lucky rolls, then an AC of 66 should put you into grazing hits and nat 20's only. At least, from the queen... the archers didn't seem to have any problem hitting.

Kaelth's Touch (DR 5/evil) helped a bit with the archers piercing damage, and combing through the combat log reminded me that I hadn't cast Sonic Resist

Ran 20 on her second life, got it in her 20th reward list.

I've seen it drop in Normals and Hards. And Elites. Never in Epic, oddly.

It's just luck of the draw. I got a greenblade my first run and a torc my 3rd run soloing it on normal back when it was easier to solo. But then I can never find the Amrath items I want after dozens of runs.

Seen it drop on epic, two of them in the same chests even.

Seams like diffuculty - drop rate relation is still shroded in miths and legends so nothing can be said certanly.

Incorrect. Back in the days (pre mod 5) 2 items always dropped from the chest. And nothing else.

It wasn't till the release of Mod 5 that they introduced the new system.


Regarding epic vs elite. I think that elite drops more ITEMS than epic, but epic obviously drops shards / seals.
So if you want items, I recommend elite*.

*this is just what I've seen, may or may not be true.

I disagree because people that run epic generally do not run epic for the items they run it for the shards; hence, you are far more likely to get the items passed to you on epic even if its the torque. The other factor is on non epic difficulties people run their wiz/sor/cleric/fvs instead of their melees; whereas, on epic people run their melee because it helps in the completion. The end result is alot more competition for the torque on non epic difficulties.

The proper thing to do in a case like this is to give it to a Fighter or a Barbarian so that they can hotlink the Torc to taunt spellcasters in later quests.
