So maybe someone else has already suggested and maybe its a terrible idea for some reason, but I think a scroll case that works like a quiver or a bag would be an awesome use of an inventory slot.

Evey time this topic comes up and think Baldur's Gate II and Icewind Dale which was release before 2001 had Scroll Cases and Potion Cases but a modern game like DDO still doesn't.
