Wednesday is clearly Monk Freakout Day.

I'm going to pencil in Archmage Wizards for Thursday, and Sorcerors for Friday after the bugs are fixed, so you guys know when you're scheduled to overreact to changes to DDO.

Lets try to get this all done by the weekend, ok?

I like this post. as we have had someone frek out in every mod/update since the game began "oooh noooes it's dooooom". we may not like all the changes made in this game but not one change has doomed the game yet. from my experience it doesnt really affect newer players as their builds are usually not tweaked enough that the changes affect their overall performance anyway, and the players that have been around and know what they are doing will, and do adjust even if we whine a little along the way.

That is true, but it does seem to me that this update contains more core gameplay changes than usual, especially for casters, we'll have to see how it all plays out live, but I have no doubt that some of the changes like extend are going to cause a lot of unhappiness and probaby not get revisited until the next update... I also predict the devs are gonna be busy little beavers chasing down unintended problems. Anyone care to bet how long before the first hotfix?...

Sorry, but Friday is booked solid for a freakout about how Turbine is undermining multiclass builds and creativity and forcing us all into the same cookie-cutter pure builds.

Does Saturday work for you? We'll have to check with the Rangers union, since they had scheduled a protest, but with all the nerfs lately to TWF, they can barely even lift the placards. And the AAs are too busy running in circles to form a solid picket line.

I am wondering when we are gonna get the two people with deepwood snipers freaking out because they actually got a buff and worry it might ruin their worst character in the game image. This might bump em up over the halfling thrower build.

Ice storm was just buggy. Acid rain might be a little overdone, but I don't have any qualms right now primarily because there are only like 4 acid spells on DDO.

Notice that with the changes ice storm and firewall are now a bit more competitive and ice storm slots in very nicely as a substitute, especially for people who spec force as their second: regardless of element, you pick up ice storm, disintegrate, horrid wilting, meteor swarm and all the force spells. That's an excellent second set of damage spells to back up the weaknesses of your savant element.

Wall is still better specifically, but its now very hard to be specialized into fire as a third element, so you're limiting yourself to fire savants, or peopole who decide fire is superior to force as a second option (which may or may not be true depending on what your first element is .. I'd rather have force than fire for an earth or water savant, I believe, though I intend to take fire with my lightning savant.)

Oh sigh, they didn't make any substantial changes to Pally's, so I can't really fill the Whiner role, and since this is Lammania, /ragequit would just be symbolic. Still, someone should just so it isn't overlooked.

I'm going to have to pour over the release notes again and see if I can find -something-....

(Too bad i didn't take much intim or I could join that particular frenzy...)

I LOL'ed even though we're on opposite sides of the Intim nerf thing* I suggest we're going to need an entire weekend for the "craftable trinkets are only available in the store" freakout, which I fully expect to rival the offer wall when it hits the general forum.

*not really freaking out about that, just takes the wind out of my sails to see an already under powered S&B Intimtank nerfed and Hate tanks clearly become the best (only) tank playstyle.
