    B) A way to let mid-levels make money by selling their stuff to high levels
    C) A way to get lv 20's to smash through low level quests for grind.

Other than that, everything i've read is very exciting. Even the TP levels of the crafting stuff isnt bad.
This isn't much different from the limited crafting we already do... Vials of Pure Water aren't found in the top quests... You either grind out some low level quests or buy them on the AH...

It is like going to a museum and bragging about how fast you made it through. Or bragging about how fast you finished a good steak.

    - no ITEMS in the store are required to play the game atm aside from packs

    - if the trinket blank is exclusively found in the DDO store who is to say that there won't be other DDO store exclusive blanks? this could very quickly become a very disturbing trend towards purchasing the ability to craft things that other people who may play/work even harder in the game cannot simply by whipping out a credit card.

    edit : i hope i'm just doomsaying
Haven't gotten on today yet. But, what would make the most sense to me is if they are selling regular 'blanks' in the store on top of you being able to make your own blanks in-game. Much like you can purchase +1 - +3 weapons in the store. But, who the heck needs to bother since they drop all over the place. Hoping that the "blank" you produce from, say, a +5 silver kopesh axe is a silver blank instead of just a "blank" which would mean it's just steel.

Will find out soon enough. Here's hoping.

*casts empowered, mamimised, heightened DOOOOOOOM* (would also use extend but extend no longer works on almost nothing but buffs)

I dont get why people get so bent out of shape over the DDO Store and Turbine wishing to make money instead of serving every f2p who never spend a single dollar on TPs.

The top ones don't. Mana pots have a cooldown, and the in-game looted mana pots cannot generate as much mana back ultra-fast as the store ones can. (The same can be said about some of the top-tier healing consumables, but they aren't useful past about level 12).

Still, if these trinkets are store only, this is really bad form. They should drop somewhere in game, and so should the Concentrated Mana Potions.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

I have a feeling, come U9 live, every general vendor in the game will be selling an item simply called "trinket". As, at least from what I've gathered from this forum, one can buy from a vendor an item simply called "club" to make a blank for that uber "+5 vicious club of greater halfling bane" everybody wants. Though they may get tricky on us and make players figure out where the Tower of the Twelve or Portable Hole is to buy one.

We can hope, but know that that would be a change from the current claim on the Lamannia DDO Store:
Craftable trinkets are only available in the DDO Store!
Author of Info Blue UI Skin (Really wish Turbine would update the skinning interface and enable all the new UI parts.)
If you don't have an SSD, you should be using DDOPreload (fixes the slow first login issue)

That could simply be because they haven't gotten around to changing the item tables on the vendors or decided how they are going to handle it exactly as of yet. This really feels like it was something that was only realized at the last second and the store option tossed on as a fix.
