Help with spells for an Acid Savant

Yes, these untyped spells get boosted by force enhancements. Oooooh, umm. That's a good point. Cyclonic blast will be degraded by my acid specialization. It's still useful for untyped damage before horrid wilting and for clearing AoEs, I guess. Another candidate for level 5 could be protection from energy, cone of cold, or break enchantment. I should calculate my dps using my acid dots and see if I can fit in Niac's biting cold without pulling aggro. If not, then it could be replaced with one of the above. How good will polar ray be compared to horrid wilting assuming I have the same ice and force enhancements? If they're the same, I guess I could drop ice spec entirely. A problem with crushing despair scrolls is that they are subject to SR... Oh gosh.

Yeah, more things are possible, but if you want to max or even really pursue a line, you are limited by the AP somewhat.


Looks like you're fleshie, which saves you Reconstruct and the repair line. That's good for you at least.


I'd probably pick one of force or cold and concentrate on that; again, I haven't checked the AP mix to see what works.

crushing despair will grant a -5 will save effect regardless of success.

Hmm, I've used this spell a lot two lives ago but I really can't recall details on how it worked but I recall that there were no effect if they saved. Anyhow ddowiki and compendium says nothing about -5 will saves, only -2 that can be negated by willsave.

Oh, forgot spell pen totally. That too is a problem with scrolls. I like bestow curse myself more even if it's just a single target spell.

Ah I see. Confuses a bit when I see some people talking about the game as it is and some are living in a future already.
