Default Crafting = ton of new ingredients we don't have room for.. Let us have huge bags.

Please add an ingame option to gain huge incredient bags. Making them store only just really really breaks a promise you made to us that the store won't have the very "best" loot.

The large bags we get now work well enough to hold our shroud ingredients, and a few other things (small amount of epic ingreds, or a few runes from reaver refuge).. They will not suffice to hold the dozens of new ingredients for crafting.
    So we either..
    A) leave that stuff in the chest (bah)
    B) Breakdown and spend 5 dollars just so we can particiipate in the new crafting (bah again)
    C) Carry multiple large bags (super bah, less inv slots, and large bags aren't tht easy to get either, plus organizing multiple bags is a chore)

I don't care if there an ultra rare drop.. Or a raid only drop, or a favor reward .. Just let us get them. We shouldn't have to pay 5 bucks per character to just be able to try out the new crafting system.

Keep in mind that organising bags will be easier now that they are searchable.

Not really. Since none of the new crafting ingredients really share any common rootwords to search for.

If they were all called "Crafting - XXX"
    That might help.

But they aren't. They all have weird and differing names.

well, presumably when you want to craft your sword of troll-pwnage, you'll be looking for ingredients needed for that weapon, not the other 50 of them. so i don't see the problem really.

people will probably want to craft more then 1 item. and as such carry a huge variety of ingredients. They wont fit into a large bag. Thus the issue. Pretty simple.

Especially since the crafting system has levels and experience points.. You'd likely have to craft hundreds of weapons beefore you could make the ultimate "sword of troll-pwnage"

Nah, you just need four ingredients: Sword of Shadow, Scroll of the Sword of Shadow, Seal of the Sword of Shadow, Shard of the Sword of Shadow.

Combine them and voila! One ultimate "sword of troll-pwnage".

Seriously, /signed. I carry one large bag for epic seals and epic tokens, one for epic scrolls, one medium bag for epic shards (these have overflowed into the seal bag for the moment), one large bag for bound ingredients, and one large bag for Shroud and similar unbound ones. And that's just on my main.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

Maybe they'll add a new ingredient bag that's like the cookie jar. One that only holds crafting ingredients. One can still hope.

It would it be nice if there were only 1 scroll/seal/shard for desert one of each for von one of each for house P etc etc?

That would solve my huge bag problem.

If scrolls become generic, then that frees up alot of bag room. 64 desert scrolls -> 1 desert scroll.

Yeah, existing scrolls don't change. But honestly, if you haven't used, sold or traded 'em by now, they're probably junk anyway.

You mention the huge bag possibly being a favor reward. Well, 2400 favor on one character, congrats, enough tp

    for a huge ingredients bag

    How about reading the post?

    The issue is:
All the reasonably sized bags are STORE ONLY PUCHASES.

That bag in particular cost around 10 bucks using the standard pricing. So a VIP account with the standard 10 character would have to 100 bucks just to have the basic ability to be able to pick up crafting ingredients and not have to constantly swap around bags and do annoying inventory work.

The point is, they ALWAYS said DDO would never become "pay to win".
This is just another step in the wrong direction.

ESPECIALLY now that there are "gargatuan bags"
They can remain store only, while huge bags really should have an ingame option to acquire, as large simply aren't big enough to handle a full load of ingredients a typical player that crafts will most likely get.

Personally broke down a bought a huge bag.. But even that was enough for the enormous amount of ingredients I carry.. So my main now has both a huge bag and a large bag just to be able to handle all this junk, ugh.

My alts, I just deleted the crafting cruft, becaue im not spending more cash on something that should be available in other ways.

At the very least, they could give us an extra large bag for 450 twelve favor (2.5 TIMES THE AMOUNT YOU NEED FOR A LARGE BAG). It's dumb there no reward there at all, and that 3 bags are now store exclusive.

    Large Crafter's Bag
    495 TP

holds up to 100 stacks of ingredients, 10,000 per stack.

    Gargantuan Crafter's Bag
    750 TP
    BTC on acquire
holds up to 500 stacks of ingredients, 10,000 per stack.

Well, since OP says don't want to spend 5 bucks instead of 600 tp, there's the tp grind.
Not too good but still an in-game method :/

Default crafting bag vs ingredent bag

So I ran a sorrow dusk chain right quick to obtain the dried fish component for the new crafting system, whenever it gets here. I noticed that it didn't go into any of my ingredient bags, got plenty of room in them also. So I went and found the free points guy, got my points and bought a crafting bag from the store to see if it would hold the dried fish and it does.

So while I can understand the OP wanting huge bags as a drop because the other ingredients will go into them or are we gonna be forced to spend TP on a crafting bag just for the items on the end rewards list, like the dried fish?

Haven't seen any recipes so far but I am wondering how many of these we will need to craft an item though. I would hope not many because it is a grind just to get these end reward items. While I do understand that some will be easier to obtain than others, like running orchard quests for one. But to complete the whole sorrow dusk chain just for one seems a bit much.

Anyways I suggest that the crafting bags be added to the list as well. I would much prefer to save my TP for the Lesser Hearts so I can fix my clan of gimps

Crafters bags don't exist on live and never will. They were deleted from the build before it went live as they were deemed really dumb.

And its hard to argue with that. All that do is add another layer of complexity to somethign that should be simple.

And far as the sorrowdusk thing not fitting into the regular bag - thats a bug.. You may care to report if it you believe that they ever read reports.

Personally picked up some of the necropolis special ones ,and they went into my regular ingredients bag just fine, as does every ingredient ive come across so far.

edit: yea lol semi necro woops.. Logged onto my old xp accoutn and I guess I didn't realise i was viewing such an old post, saw it at the top of my list.. odd it didnt refresh. Regardless, this topic is still relevant, and perhaps more then ever now they added evne mroe crafting ingredient **** in u10/10.1.
