True Reincarnation Questions From A Noob

So I am playing a level 4 Human Ranger on the Thelanis server, and am already planning my reincarnation. However, before I get too far into planning, I want to make sure I actually understand how this works...So let me detail what I plan on doing, and how, and you guys can tell me how wrong I am.

Using:
Favor Earned Drow
Favor Earned/Purchased Veteran Status
Purchased Monk (Probably via VIP)
However it is you buy a True Reincarnation

I plan on taking my Human Ranger (Level 20 by the time I do this) and re-rolling him as...

A Rogue 1/Monk 1/Ranger 2 (Character Level 4) 32 Point Build Drow, with the Ranger Reincarnation Feat.

I feel like I am forgetting something I wanted to do, but whatev, I'll remember as advice flows in. Thanks y'all for any help you give.

You don't start as level 4 when you TR, you start as level 1.

But the main this your missing is...why?

The ranger past life feat is not very good, there really isn't any reason to play a character twice just for the ranger past life feat.

Don't TR just for the sake of having cool wings or something. Plan out your build, adn learn how to play your character, what their strengths and weakness are, before you decide to remake them.

Veteran status doesnt work with TR. You will start at level 1.

Yes, you need to be level 20 to TR

Build points are always a good reason.

OP, if you wish to TR, do so.
TR hearts are available by a few different means, the easiest and most cost effective is acquiring 20 epic dungeon tokens, if you play alot anyways.

TR also gains you the ability to run the content again which is good from a TP perspective if you are FTP.

However, if you wish to TR there are a few things to consider.

Run as much content you own as possible for favor before you TR.
This gains TP which are good for future or existing content you do not already own.
TR is a grind, second life isnt so bad but without purchasing content, 3rd life is impossible.

Plan your character lives to be beneficial:
Fighter adds to-hit
Rogue adds reflex saves and backstab dmg
Monk adds + to base damage
Barb Add hp and rage clickies

I have an alt on his 3rd ftr/2nd rog lives and he never misses and does good damage when boosting.
He needs monk lives but I have no intention of doing so.

Ranger may be good for your final life as the past life feats for ranger are kinda bland as mentioned already.
Whatever you decide to do, remember to have fun and don't let the grind get you down!

Well, talking about passive feats, +2 stacking resists may not look very good but I find it very useful.

And I am actually TR-ing my plain vanilla 28-pt ranger via fighter and barb past lives to eventually make an exploiter

unless you plan on using a ranged weapon a ranger past life is not a good choice for a ranger in next life.
if dont plan on making a ranged ranger next life make a fighter or monk your first life and you get a better past life for melee.

You have a long way too before TR'ing. And since true hearts usally cost real money, I would take my time and prepare well.


A rencarnation bank filled with lv appropriate items and weapons is part of the joy.

Ripping through GH with a lightingII weapon and kick butt armor and the good ol minos will make you feel Uber powerful and noobs will fall to your feet in awe.
