    Default The AcroBot

    Warforged Khopesh Kensai Rogue :: 13 Rogue / 6 Fighter / 1 Barb
    ================================================== =============

Personal Notes and aim of the build:
    ------------------------------------

    * During the low levels, this toon plays more like a fighter than a rogue, using a carnifex axe, I was getting lovely crits for 95 at level 4! Twinked out with event stuff and bard songs though. Still I was pretty impressed so far, considering it isn't a barbarian or a h-orc :P

    * I did consider half-orc for the race, but decided that WF might be slighltly superior due to all the blanket immunities.

    * This build is somewhat inspired by Dark Star's "The Hurtlocker" (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=19479) build which is a little more tank focused than this build. I have plenty of tanks so I wanted to do something slightly more dps-centric than the Hurtlocker but I borrowed some of the concepts in the build. I swapped the paladin levels for fighter levels and the monk level for a barbarian level. One reason for this was because I had wanted this toon to be true neutral. Another reason for the transition is to maximize the weapon damage incoming from khopesh and increase to-hit via kensai etc.

    * The result is an interesting, tough, rugged toon with really good dps using khopeshes when it doesn't have aggro and still really strong dps even with aggro.

    * I'm taking the acrobat line for rogue even without using staves. What I am going for is the knockdown immunity granted with acrobat II. It was a toss up between either an extra 2d6 SA dmg from assassin or the utility of acrobat. I think the acrobat is overall better but switching between the two is relatively simple respec of enhancements, so it's not all that bad to test and see which I like better.

    * Situational staff use and bonus damage to SA from dex mod might be cool, but a flavor perk at best. Damage from khopesh will almost always come out better.

    * Built for versatility and role switching. This rogue is built as a pure dps with kensai enhancements to khopesh, threat reduction via enhancements and full diplomacy ranks and a +4 on power attack via enhancements, however it does have a tank option with a full intimidate ranks, threat enhancements, High DR (DoD), and the possibility to turtle up with a shield.

    * High UMD: No-fail reconstruct/raise dead/greater heroism scrolls etc. Divine power scrolls are nice to have for a little boost to to-hit when needed.

40 barb rage (one time use, short duration though)
    ---
    717 hps max buffed

    HP Disclaimer:
    --------------
    * Not to be considered for Horoth as anchoring boots are required and leaves madstone bootsies out.
    * Extreme hp numbers above are mostly for fun(tm).

    Saves (F/R/W):
    --------------

    05/09/05 rogue
    05/02/02 fighter
    02/00/00 barbarian

    00/00/02 madstone x2
    00/02/02 vorne's set
    --------
    33/46/27 situational

    * Saves are a bit low for my liking, but will make do. Enough hps and improved evasion should take care of most of it.
    * Low will save countered by hold immunity.
    * Might not actually make an exceptional reflex item, but threw it in there to see possible numbers in general.

    Skills:
    -------

    * I have not actually ran the numbers on the skills, so going on assumption.
    * After running the toon through the character planner will change for accuracy.

    [44]UMD: 23 ranks +3 SF: UMD +4 cha mod +2 luck +4 GH +3 item +5 cha skills = 44
    [56]Intimidate: 23 ranks +15 item +4 cha mod +2 luck +4 GH +5 cha skills +2 coin lords favor +1 kensai = 56
    [56]Diplomacy: 23 ranks +15 item +4 cha mod +2 luck +4 GH +5 cha skills +2 coin lords favor +1 kensai = 56
[36]Tumble: 10 ranks +2 enhancements +4 acrobat II +8 dex mod +4 GH +2 luck +6 dex skills = 36 (no tumble item worn - flips while wearing DoD)
    [39]Open Lock: 4 ranks + 15 item +8 dex mod +4 GH +2 luck +6 dex skills = 39
    [58]Move Silently: 23 ranks +15 item +4 GH +2 luck +8 dex mod +6 dex skills = 58

    [40]Balance: 6 ranks +8 dex mod +10 item +4 GH +2 luck +6 dex skills +4 acrobat II = 40

Hope you guys like it :] Would really appreciate some feedback but so far this little guy is lots of fun

madstone rage gives you 40 HP and 80 double raged? Wow... I am really missing out, almost to 20 completions to hope i get it as a reward option.

Madstone boots clicky proc grants +2 str, +4 con. You can get the boots also to proc their hidden effect which grants another stacking +2 str, +4 con for a total of +4 str/+8 con.

In reality with a double madstone proc you're getting 80 extra hps just in con mods. However, I'd like to point out that I think madstone boots are not a good way to gauge your hit points. Mostly those calcs down the bottom of the hp pool were for fun to see how high it could get with buffs (including 1 charge of barb rage from the barbarian level).

I understand that. It's just something I'm working toward atm, and originally thought they only gave a +2 con.

I like the build, I'm just not a big warforged fan, but with all those immunities, and knockdown immunity it just makes it nicer... too bad it comes with a rogue prestige.

that's the same level splits I have on my acrobat, only differences are I'm halfling and went THF and kensai quarterstaff, no stunning blow but the fun part of it is level draining *very* fast with staves, only thing I see different feat wise is that I took quick draw instead of khopesh profiency, you can consider that instead of stunning blow

Quick draw's not a bad idea for that level 18 feat, thanks for bringing it up :] Stunning blow might be too low, worked out the DCs around 38 which might not cut it for the U9+ epics with the increased saves.

Might eventually swap SF: UMD for iCrit: bludgeon for occasional staff use, but not really too concerned about it, and definitely not until I build him some cha skills GS item.

    Stunning blow DC would be 10 base + 13 str mod + 10 stunning weapon + 1 kensai +2 fighter enhancements +2 WF enhancements = 38
