I'm new to DDO, my "main" toon is
my lv7 32pt paly. I bought vet status and Drow the other day. I'm looking at making this drow
something different then my paly.
Sounds like your off to a good start.. a non melee toon already
When I played WOW for 3yrs, my paly was my main and my warlock was my 2nd. They were different enough for me to keep the game fresh and I'd like to do this with DDO.
I'm a casual player and not very into every single minute detail about the races and classes, I'm still trying to learn all the lingo and abbreviations you all use....
Just forget everything you ever learned.. Start fresh
I dont know if this will help but, I've always played my characters
as a paly type of class.
Dont fret... we need more crate-smashers.
I like to be able to solo everything I can so healing myself either by magic or potions is important, doing as much DPS as I can and
being able to take as much damage as I can. Hence the reason a Paly works out well for my playstyle. It's always been a well rounded class in any MMO game I've played.
Piker-pally build. I like it. Solos EVERY QUEST. and as far as taking damage? Your pally will take lots. Promise
Now I'd like to break my own mold and try something different but not so completely different that I would be lost when playing it. What
does DDO have that a
DROW would be good at considering it's base stats, and that it's different enough from a paly so it wont feel like I'm playing the same kinda toon?????
Almost any class at all. Stay away from the class with a mailed fist in front of its name and you will experience Joys of playing anything. You may find your playstyle altering from piker-build to, why almost anything. Enjoy and Cast aside your old pally carcass from a real class and be bustin caps in behinds galore.... But have faith.. Any class can pike.... but none as well as pally.
