Is this your first char? If so your gonna be pretty limited in what you find/can afford. Carnifex is a good all around weapon (quest reward from deleras). But under ideal circumstances you will want many different weapons for the various mobs you will fight. Ghost touch, vorpal, banishing etc etc.
Nope this isn't I've capped lvl 20's I just never been a paladin or cared what they use I can get a Carnifex from Deleras.

Once you get divine sacrifice a falchion is nice because the sacrifice increases the crit range. So maybe something like a maiming or vampiric bloody cleaver if you own the attack on stormreach pack if you like soloing a lot. (The bodyfeeder should proc almost constantly and it's on a nice weapon otherwise.)
Oh, and you get holy sword at 14 paladin, of course. Almost free +5 holyburst metalline weapon.
What type of weapon for greensteel? A Pos Pos Min 2 greataxe, falchion, or greatsword?

So go with Lit II Falchion and I'll be set correct?

Are Falchion not that popular because I don't see them alot. I see lots of Greensteel G Axes, Khopeshes and G swords but no falchions.

Lit II Greataxes aren't too bad, but some are saying they're about to get nerfed in the next update. I've been wielding one for a while and it does a great job!
Jackovall (Completionist Wizard - Life 23/23) -- Gilders PDK Tree build (Life 8/8) -- Zogdor PDK Rogue Mechanic (Life 10/10) -- Taykare Pure Warlock (Life 14/14) -- Sheo Bladeforged Rogue Mechanic (life 12/12) --
Double Deviants
Seems like I'll be making a Lit II Falchion soon.

Geez, 12 posts in a paladin thread and no one's linked Junts's guide yet? Slackers!
tl;dr summary: for THF paladin, go with falchions.
EDIT: BTW, what's the rest of your build like?
Semi-retired Build Engineer. Everything was better back in our day. Get off my lawn.
Mine just a UMD evasion Solo Pally. Nothing special I am just able to solo well with pots and Hellstrokes greataxe.

A pretty good reason people would make greataxes instead of falchions is that while falchions have a slight edge in ordinary DPS, greataxes have a dramatic edge in auto-crit DPS. Come Update 9, there won't be any more auto-crit. There are also really bad reasons people avoid falchions, from a mechanical point of view, but psychology is a topic not well-suited to short discussions.
Khopeshes are TWF weapons, which if you're comparing greensteel to greensteel have an advantage over THF for everyone. This doesn't mean you should switch to TWF, though, especially on a paladin, it's just a reason that can explain their higher popularity.
I've a 20 pali and despite having "better" weapons I'm always using my vampiric bloody cleaver whenever the healer isn't up to par, in any situation with no heals, byoh, or soloing. Never have to worry about heals, ever, when that's equipped. Sometimes feel guilty in epics, since I'm barely contributing to DPS, but with capstone good damage and stalwart trinket (I think, the one that vorpals shock damage from CC) it's okay.
Divine Sacrifice does not increase crit range, it increases crit multiplier. But that is good since falchions already have the crit range, to make them more potent with those common crits.
TWF pallies are great, better than THF pallies. They don't work if you're a tank, however (they CAN, I have a tank TWF pally but it's drow to get the dex and cha easier). If you don't want to use drow because they're 20 HP squishier, that's fine too but then it's best to go THF.
The trinket is bold trinket.
Falchions are great, greatswords don't have the best crit range or multiplier so are inferior, and greataxes are good for autocrit situations now but will be much worse after Update 9, since they're removing autocrit. Thinking ahead, choose Falchion. (Holy sword is not available as a falchion, so for holy sword use a greatsword.)
