heh... i felt this way yesterday. Everytime i dropped a web the other wiz in the group unleashed a fireball right after. Luckily it was undead, and we were low enough level he was able to kill a few.

In a good group, they know how to use CC (although even they will forget/make mistakes) but in your average pug some of the people don't even know the mechanics well enough to understand the problem. Sadly thought people don't use the forums either.

Fireball doesn't do double damage or anything extra against undead(other than double against mummy), only firewall does that but its about to change with next update.

Because how powerful firewall has been, people have been using enhancements most of the time for fire/cold instead of acid/lightning which makes fireball powerful as a freebie. Also 3 sorc pastlives(+3 evoc) makes you want to use fireball(evocation) instead of acid splash(conjuration).

i stopped using webs for cc... just mass enchantment series all the way...

will webs count towards 50% bonus with the new plans in update?

Wait, you mean you take melee in a non epic/raid group?

I feel for you OP somewhat, especially because pugged casters tend not to be able to 1 shot the mobs they are trying to kill.

On the other hand, when -I- fireball your web and kill them all with 1 fell swoop, consider your 3 sp web 3 spell points well spent
