I like the new changes. Nothing is nerfed. The game simply got way too easy to play. I remember when I first starting playing you really had to have a full, diversified party to have great success in the quests. Now all you need is a couple of toons that have decent gear and a hireling cleric (just in case) and you can zerg through just about anything on your way to end game. Lets get back to basics so quests can be enjoyed and they are not just a flash as you fly through them. Good job guys and I hope you find other ways in future updates to challenge us!
Agorth Brutalum: L20 TWF Dwarf Barbarian, Shinkura: L14 WF Sorceror (3rd life), Wisspering Willow: : L19 Rogue - assassin, Arisiana: L9 Pally (2nd life). Metalika: L20 Tempest Ranger Gurddy: Level 18 TWF Dward Barbarian It's all about fun, isn't it?
When I first started playing I found out the hard way that Blindness was permanent! Went into a new dungeon with my friends (all lvl 6ish) and got blinded with no cure blindness available. Had to complete the rest of the dungeon blind and I was the rogue.
My friends would tell me where the ladders where and we had to hop from one place to another and all the navigation I had was that I could see the nametags of my friends floating around and used those to kind of steer and disarm traps and such.
At the time, I couldn't find the humor in this...but years later it is still something my friends and I talk about and remember fondly.
I just have to say that the visual upgrades are nice. For me it's the little things like better shadowing, shimmer, floor treatments, and dust motes caught in light that add the nice touches.
Plus the skill/attribute bonus listed on the item description- THANK YOU!
Oh, happened to me too.
Had to recall out, and it wouldn't go away.
I stumbled back to a nearby tavern, and I was relieved when tavern rest made it go away.
...
I recall meeting this one guy who was staggering around House J, and managed to get himself stuck between a rock and the teleporter, and couldn't get away.
Felt bad for him; told him to stay put, and came back on my cleric.
...
I must admit some harmful effects made questing alone really scary, in the earlier days.
And I am just vintage 2009.
Wonder how it feels like for people who just joined and see these guys with blue auras zooming around with wings on their nametags...

Permanent blindness and Curse sure were fun.
It did however take away from 2 cleric slots for spells until you found a wand or two.
