    Default Price Check: Bloodstone

How much is it worth in plat? Is it worth more or less or same than Firestorm Greaves?

As a general rule, I'd say the bloodstone is worth between half and two thirds as much as the firestorm greaves. Your milage may vary.

To someone who wants the Bloostone but doesn't want the Firestorm Greaves it can be worth much more. Don't worry about the market. Advertise that you have a Bloodstone and see what offers you get and then take the one that you feel works the best for you.

There were probably a lot of Pirate Hats made with Seeker +6 lately which wont help the value.

Dven was just letting Tid12 know of somethin that may effect his selling. I would rather know all thats goin on.

Check AH, see if the bloodstones are being bought out right or if sitin for the limit. This can give you an idea.

Might not be an antitrust or an unfair trade practice here, but encouraging suppression of public information would be, IRL.

Have you ever worked for Enron?

The Bloodstone is far superior to the hat in terms of slot flexibility. Bold Trinket is much weaker, and hardly anyone has Litany.

No it would not and no I have not. Furthermore, how do you suppress public public information? What the poster stated was not public info, it was a conjecture about a substitute good and its possible affect on the price of a bloodstone.

How could someone *encourage* the suppression of public information? Intimidation tactics via veiled insults (i.e. blue falcon), I'm pretty sure.

Grammar police, LOL. You failed again. Next time a bit of due diligence will greatly help your cause. Sic is used to indicate that the cited reference is left UNEDITED and to draw the reader's attention to any incorrect passages. You should consult the Chicago Manual of Style for further clarification. Also, my statement was not incorrect given the cited context.

The information about the seeker hats can't be suppressed. It is public, thus available to anybody. I am not sure why anyone would try and make the information; which might be detrimental to the OP, readily available in this thread. I certainly would not appreciate someone posting information in my trade threads that could have adverse effects on my outcome.

    Proper Use of Sic:

The nice thing about the Bloodstone, though, is that I believe the Epic version is +8. Slot that on a hat!

BYOH. Know it, abide by it, or don't mess with those who do.

I may not be an editor, but throwing out the red herring about grammar was a nice try at deflecting the point.

The information is not detrimental in itself. It was good advice for someone who might not see why their bloodstone pricing was making the cut on the AH.
Dven was correct. The present availability of and/or access to seeker hats could now and in the future, affect the value of Bloodstones in relation to Firestorm Greaves. Meaning, OP should think about it some more and adjust their idea of value when it concerns Bloodstones. Good to know.

You retaliated because someone posted free and public information in the trade thread which I'm assuming might affect your own future AH postings (or maybe Bloodstone farming?).

You tried to be a ninja bully, and shame him/her for doing so, which was both obvious and uncool.

    Cool

To the OP: I have paid anywhere from 250K to 500K Plat for a Bloodstone.

In general, I would say 450K is a decent price, although I have seen them sold for 750-900K. It really is a matter of who is looking and what the current finances allow.
