Question on Active TR feats

I'm getting ready to TR my first toon (a wizard) and in reading the various official threads on the past life feats, I have come across a discrepancy. In one thread it states that you can only select an active past life feat once, and then in a second it says you can select them multiple times. My question is this, how many times can I select an active TR feat when leveling up?

How it works is as follows...

There are purchasable past life feats (one per class right now) and free ones (one per class right now).

The free ones stack upto 3 times...so you can TR multiple times as the same class and get another free feat each time upto 3. For a wizard this is the +2 spell pen one.

The purchasable ones (ie they cost a feat slot to get) you can only buy once on a toon. For a wiz this is the +1 to spell DC one.

You can get the passive past life feats up to three times per class per character (3 Fighter past life feats, 3 Monk past life feats, etc), but you can only get the active past life feat once. That means you can end up with 3x Wizard past life passive feat, but only 1x Arcane Initiate.
