Attempting to Reinstall

I uninstalled the D&D client via Programs & Features (on a Vista system), but the game is still installed. Yes, I rebooted the computer. I tried deleting the Turbine folder in Program Files, but it says it's open in another program. I check Task Manager, and there's nothing there labeled Turbine or D&D. I even uninstalled the Pando Media Booster and rebooted my computer again, but I can still run the game.

Have you had the Lammania preview client installed?

Is the game is still being displayed in the Add/Remove Programs listing, or did it remove the listing there while keeping the program installed?

No, I don't have Lammania.

And no, it's not listed in Add/Remove programs.

Thanks for the response, but I think I figured it out. I decided to try turning off auto-launch when Windows starts feature on the Launcher, and then I could delete the Turbine folder, which is supposed to be possible after a correct uninstall. I'm going to try downloading a fresh copy now that there is no Turbine data on my computer anymore. I'm guessing it's a consequence of not deleting the Turbine folder before trying to reinstall. I'll try this out and repost if it works.


UPDATE: Yes, it appears the auto-launch was causing the problem. After turning that off and rebooting my computer, I deleted the extra folder and all traces of Turbine. A fresh download installed with no errors and DDO is now running just fine.
