Default Game issues? HTTP Error 417 Expectation failed

Can't get into game at all. At the opening sequence of communication, I get HTTP Error 417 Expectation failed.

Never seen this before. Was working fine until Ghallanda crashed yesterday.

    Any ideas?

    Default Same...

I've had the same problem, starting 3-22-2011 (Ghallanda crash). I've seen a number of other posts related to HTTP 417 codes:

Is this a bug in the client as the other thread indicates? If so, how do I fix it?

Thanks to anyone who can help.

    Default

Think it was a router issue. i was at the ATL airport waiting for a delayed flight. Now at my hotel hours later, no issues at all.

They might block it through the ATL Airport WiFi.

    Default Just so everyone knows...

I believe it is a buggy client that is causing the issue as noted in the link in my previous post. I had my infrastructure guy turn off the squid proxy server, and the client worked great, when he turns the proxy back on, the client starts failing. According to the documentation of the squid proxy server configuration:

    # TAG: ignore_expect_100 on|off
    # This option makes Squid ignore any Expect: 100-continue header present
    # in the request.
    # Note: Enabling this is a HTTP protocol violation, but some client may
    # not handle it well..
    #
    #Default:
    # ignore_expect_100 off

Basically - the DDO client doesn't handle a properly configured transparent squid proxy server. So - anyone playing in a dorm room at a college with a proxy like this (my college for example) - good luck. There's a couple thousand potential customers that DDO will never see if this client issue keeps happening.
