Thief acrobat adds dex damage to staff damage, and the Staff of Nat Gann's base damage is dex. Does a TA still add dex damage to the Staff of Nat Gann? Also, under the upcoming crafting system, will the staff be ubgradable to include Metaline?

Thief-Acrobat adds Dex damage to sneak attacks with all staves, including that one. The staff itself adds the Dex bonus to base damage, which means it gets multiplied on crits.

So, double Dex damage, and triple on crits, if you have SA.

Also, under the upcoming crafting system, will the staff be ubgradable to include Metaline?

We don't know the full details yet, but my guess is no. Sounds like it'll be like the Risia festival, and only work with randomly generated items.

Staff uses dex for damage
TA uses dex for S/A Damage
If you have an epic staff of natt gann your best choice is to put good into the red slot and then it will bypass most creatures DR in the game.
