    Default Help please !!Lit II rapier which is better holy or good burst

    I was going to make a holy shocking burst but someone told me shock goodburst might be a better way to go.

    1 he said because goodburst effects neutral as well as evil enemies

    15-20 crit range 1d shock 1d6good 3d6 on a crit vs 2d6 holy 1d6 shock 1d10 on a crit.

    I totally suck with maths. Im leaning towards the holy shocking burst.

    I made mine holy shocking burst, simply because there seem to be much more evil enemies than there are neutral ones.

    And against evil enemies holy does more damage than good burst.

    Holy will do more damage against evil targets which is most of the stuff you fight.

    I think the Stormreaver is neutral, but you wouldn't be using a lightning weapon against him (and that fight is easy) anyway.

    The enemies I notice that are neutral are mostly animals and golems, which are annoying but not really dangerous. If I remember correctly some golems are resistant to good damage anyway, which makes them moot for the purposes of this comparison.

    For me the big ones are elementals. But I agree, none of the neutral enemies are common enough or dangerous enough to warrant going shock->good burst rather than holy->shocking burst.

    Over 20 swings vs. an evil target non resistant to lightning:

    Holy: 19 * 2d6 = 133
    Shocking burst: 19 * 1d6 + 6 * 1d10 = 99.5
    => Total: 232.5

    Shock: 19 * 1d6 = 66.5
    Good burst: 19 * 1d6 + 6 * 3d6 = 129.5
    => Total: 196

    => Holy / Shocking burst wins.
