Default Value cannot be null launcher error

    Value cannot be null.
    Parameter name: stream
    I am running Windows 7.

    I tried Mirthgar's suggestion

Open up the folder C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc and in there look for a file named "Hosts". Right-click on it and choose "Open With" and choose "Notepad" from the list presented.

Once it opens in notepad look in your file for:

    206.16.13.87 gls.ddo.com

    Or:

    206.16.13.82 gls.ddo.com

And add a # in front of both (examples below)

    # 206.16.13.87 gls.ddo.com
    # 206.16.13.82 gls.ddo.com
Didn't work. Next I downloaded DDO again and used the Repair setting (DnD setup). It re-installed the game. Did not fix it.

Finally I tried completely uninstalling DDO and re-installing it. Did not fix it either.

So at this point I am at a loss.
    Characters on Sarlona: Ungnad (Morninglord, Wizard 17 / Favored Soul 2 / Fighter 1) -- Baerktghar (Dwarf, Paladin 18 / Fighter 2) -- Simulacruhm (Bladeforged, Artificer 16 / Paladin 3 / Wizard 1)

No matter what side of the argument you are on, you always find people on your side that you wish were on the other.

Someone had just fixed this identical problem today by unplugging their internet router and cable modem for 15 seconds, and then plugging them back in.
