Default Ideal Pirate Hat for Pure DPS.

So, the choices are between Heavy Fort, Seeker +6, Sneak Attack +5 (+8 damage). Which of these is the ideal setup for an endgame (or near endgame) pure DPS meleer. Further which +15 skill would go along with the hat (Balance?)

I depends entirely on what your other gear is. It won't stack with a Bloodstone or Tharne's Goggles. In general, the seeker is better because you can then use your trinket for a Litany of the Dead. Heavy fort is easier to find elsewhere, such as in an epic slot, on a belt, on an armor, etc. As for a skill, just take whatever you need. On my fighter, for example, I took intimidate, which gives me enough for raid Orthons, though not enough for bosses.

    This.

There's no limit to the number you're able to craft. I personally made a +6 Seeker, +5 Backstabbing, and Superior False Life helm all with +15 Balance. All three are unique to that slot, so all you'll be doing is future proofing yourself in case something ever becomes replaceable or undesired. Say a new set of goggles comes out with something akin to Madstone Boots attached to it. Going to be hard to justify Tharne's then, but now you're covered in another slot. :P

As far as current setups, if Epic Marilith Chain isn't in your future, +6 Seeker and using Litany would be your best bet.
Since it actually works now: Malothar
